We had two fantastic assemblies this week, all about how good our attendance was in the first half term of being in Year 1!

Yesterday we won the highest class percentage for attendance within Years 1-3 for last half term. This meant that we have won a movie & popcorn afternoon in school, which we are very excited for!🎥🍿

Today we had an assembly to celebrate individual attendance and in Golden Eagles we had 19 children awarded a Silver (98%) or Gold (100%) certificate and badge for their excellent attendance!

Keep it up Eagles and hopefully we can have more attendance celebrations at the end of this half term! I’m a a very proud teacher!

Today we learned all about keeping safe online.

Today the Golden Eagles practised controlling the movement of a ball.

The children used different parts of their bodies to move the ball.

We ended our PE lesson by practising throwing the ball in the air and catching it.

Why not practise some Throwing and Catching at home with your child.

Today we continued to practise throwing and catching the bean bags using one hand to throw and another to catch.

The Golden Eagles then passed the bean bag back and fourth with a friend.

One friend passed the bean bag under arm with one hand as their friend got ready to receive the bean bag holding both of their hands together. The Golden Eagles were great at working together.
