Golden EaglesToday we introduced the Golden Eagles to Mini Athletics.
We practised two different activities linked to Athletics. Over the next few weeks we will continue to explore various Athletic games developing team work by working with other children.

Today the Year Ones have been learning about how to stay safe on the road. We practised how to cross the road safely using different crossings. We learnt the Green Cross Code; ‘stop, look, listen, think, hold hands’.
Rain Rain Go Away.
Today we had indoor PE. We practised passing the ball to a friend focusing on chest pass.
However when a friend held up the Red Traffic Light the person with the ball had to stop and hold the ball over their head.
However when the Green Traffic Light was held up the ball could carry on being passed around to each other.

Look at our jolly snowmen pictures. I wonder if we will see some snow at Pye Bank soon?
We have been talking about the seasons of the year in science and we have created some amazing artwork based on this. Today we created Spring blossom trees. We had to paint the trunk and branches first and then we added tissue paper with glue. We think they look lovely, what do you think?
